Urban Virtual Fete by Greenwich Peninsula

Urban Virtual Fete by Greenwich Peninsula

Greenwich Peninsula’s Urban Village Fete is back, but this year it’s going digital…

On 31st May 2020, Greenwich Peninsula’s much loved Urban Village Fete is going digital and I’m pleased to share that I will be one of the traders taking part!

In previous years, the Urban Village Fete London has been attended by thousands of visitors who have the chance to take part in the festivities and shop from local designers and makers. The event is a modern twist on the traditional village fair which celebrates design, music, art, and craftsmanship in London's Greenwich Peninsula.

As this year's event is taking place entirely online, it has been cleverly renamed Urban Virtual Fete. Although we may not be able to get together in person this year under the current circumstances, the team has been working hard to bring all the best bits of the fete to us all digitally. For this year's event, you can expect craft workshops, live DJ sets, dancing, and much more - all online! As well as these workshops and performances, Greenwich Peninsula also want to celebrate designer-makers and independent brands from across London so you will be able to shop from them all online. Each designer-maker and brand will be linked to on the event's website. You can expect to find brands selling fashion, accessories, homeware, and more. You will be able to find me among all these talented designers and brands!

Although it's disappointing that most of our favourite events and markets have been cancelled this year, I think that it's great that organisers have found creative ways to still bring us fun and entertainment. I am very excited to be a part of this event curated by Hemingway Design as just a few months ago, I took part in their SAMPLE Christmas event at Greenwich Peninsula which was a lot of fun! So I'm sure this digital event will bring us some joy and give us some much-needed entertainment and fun for all the family streamed straight to our homes!
