At the beginning of February 2020, I had the opportunity to exhibit at the Most Curious Wedding Fair at the Truman Brewery, London. The Most Curious Wedding Fair is a style-focused wedding event that focuses on great design, fashion and innovative ideas in the wedding industry - perfect for couples that appreciate quality, creativity and craftsmanship.
I was quite nervous going into this experience as I had never even considered creating bridal accessories or entering into the wedding industry, but I’m really glad that I gave it a chance and got the opportunity to challenge myself creatively. I was excited to bring something different to the wedding industry, creating bridal accessories inspired by my Caribbean heritage, taking inspiration from my graduate collection in terms of textile techniques and textures. My aim was to create stand out pieces so that people can add a little piece of the Caribbean to their wedding day.

Exhibiting at the show was such an amazing experience. I had the chance to meet some lovely couples who were in the process of planning their weddings, and also other talented creatives that were also exhibitors displaying their amazing work. My weekend at the Most Curious Wedding Fair was topped off with winning the Bridal Next Highly Commended prize as chosen by Love My Dress!
