The Stitch Festival 2026 was my first time exhibiting at show!

The Indie Edit
In 2026, I was in The Indie Edit at The Stitch Festival.
The Indie Edit is a curated section dedicated to showcasing small independent craft businesses making their first appearance at The Stitch Festival. It’s a space at the show where you can find new & creative small businesses. I was excited to be bringraffia embroidery to The Indie Edit at The Stitch Festival.

Exhibiting at The Stitch Festival for the first time was a special moment in my creative journey as it gave me the opportunity to share raffia embroidery, a craft inspired by Caribbean creativity.

Launching My Debut Book: Raffia Embroidery
My debut book Raffia Embroidery: Vibrant Designs Inspired by the Caribbean was published by Search Press on Tuesday 17 February 2026.
The book is a celebration of colour, creativity, and culture all inspired by my Caribbean heritage and love for raffia embroidery. Inside, you’ll find:

10 raffia embroidery projects including hoop art, wall hangings, bags and more
Step-by-step guidance & full-size templates that are perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike.

Copies of Raffia Embroidery were available at The Stitch Festival 2026 I had all the projects from the book on display so visitors could have a closer look in person and ask me any questions.

The Stitch Festival London takes place at the Business Design Centre in London. You’ll find the Business Design Centre in the heart of Islington. It has excellent public transport links to Central London and national destinations, making it ideal for a day trip. The nearest stations are Angel and Highbury & Islington. It’s also easy to reach the Business Design Centre by car and it’s not in the Congestion Charge zone. Visit their website for information about parking.
