Know Your Caribbean
@knowyourcaribbean
Discover the legacy of the Haitian Revolution. No conversation about Caribbean history is complete without understanding Haiti’s powerful story of resistance and revolution. In this insightful post by @knowyourcaribbean, explore how Haiti rose up against colonial rule to become the first Black republic, and how that victory came at a devastating cost.
Learn how Haiti transformed from the wealthiest colony in the Americas to one of the poorest countries in the West, due in part to the crippling “independence debt” imposed by France. The post also spotlights the ongoing fight for justice led by organisations like @repaircampaign, who are keeping the call for reparations front and centre.

Step into summer with LIMIN SOUTHBANK’s new CaribéBloom menu. LIMIN SOUTHBANK is in full bloom with CaribéBloom - a vibrant new summer concept inspired by the flowers, flavours, and spirit of the Caribbean.
