The 22nd June 2019 was Windrush Day in the UK, celebrating the contribution of the Windrush Generation and their families to British society and culture. To celebrate, Impact Brixton hosted a special Windrush market from 22nd-23rd June 2019.
I was so excited to be one of the exhibitors trading at the event, and to be able to celebrate Windrush day with the Brixton community. It was so lovely to see all the other traders, and all the people who had come out to support and celebrate Windrush day in Brixton.
